OneToRise
Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and NomadCarpenter ("we") for the OneToRise app. By creating an account or using the app you accept them. Your use of the app downloaded from the App Store is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
The service
OneToRise lets you set one thing for tomorrow, mark it done, and climb a ladder of real mountains as you go. Mountains, cards and badges are a game inside the app: they are not goods, have no cash value and cannot be transferred.
Your account
You sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for what happens under your sign-in. You can delete your account at any time from My › Account › Manage account › Delete account, or from Account at the bottom of the plans screen; this erases your data as described in the Privacy Policy. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription — cancel it in your Apple ID settings as described below.
Subscriptions
OneToRise is used with an auto-renewing subscription. There are two plans: Monthly, billed every month, and Yearly, billed every year. The price of each plan in your currency is shown in the app before you buy, and Apple shows it again before you confirm. Prices can differ between countries and may change; Apple tells you about a price change before it applies to you.
- Free trial. The Yearly plan may start with a free trial of 7 days, offered once per Apple ID. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the Yearly price is charged when it ends. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a plan.
- Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends. We never see your card or payment details.
- Automatic renewal. A plan renews automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- Cancelling. Manage or cancel your plan in Settings › your name › Subscriptions on your iPhone, or in the App Store. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Refunds. Purchases are made through Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds ourselves.
- Restoring. If you reinstall the app or use a new phone with the same Apple ID, use Restore purchases on the plans screen.
- When a plan ends. Without an active plan the app opens on the plans screen and reminders stop. Your days keep closing as usual, so days you miss count as slips (you slide back, but never below the foot of the mountain you are on). Your summits, cards, badges and journal are kept, and everything opens again when you subscribe.
Fair use
Use the app for yourself, as it is meant to be used. Do not try to break into it, interfere with the service or other people's data, or use it for anything unlawful.
Changes to the app
We may change or stop features, mountains or badges, and we may stop offering the app. Where we can, we will say so in advance in the app.
No warranty
The app is provided as is. We do our best to keep it working and your data safe, but we do not promise that it will always be available or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending the agreement
You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version is posted here with a new effective date. Material changes are also shown in the app.
