OneToRise
Privacy Policy
OneToRise is made by NomadCarpenter. It is a small app: each night you name one thing for tomorrow, and when you do it you climb one step of a real mountain. This page says exactly what the app keeps about you, where it lives, and how to erase it.
What we keep
- Your account. When you sign in with Apple or Google we receive a user id and, if you share it, your email address. We use them only to sign you in and to find your data.
- What you type. The first name you enter, the one thing you set each day, and whether you did it and how (the step grade).
- Your settings. The time your day closes, your morning reminder time, your time zone, whether reminders are on, and your theme.
- Your climb. Which mountain you are on, the step you are at, summits, streaks and badges — all derived from the entries above.
- Your subscription. If you subscribe, Apple takes the payment; we never see your card or payment details. Our subscription service, RevenueCat, receives your app user id (the random id of your OneToRise account) and the App Store's record of your plan — which plan, when it started, renews or ends, and whether a free trial was used — so the app can tell whether your plan is active.
- Feedback you send. When you use My › Send feedback, we keep what you write, its kind (bug, idea or other), any screenshots you attach (up to three), and a few facts about the app that help us find the problem: the app version and build, which update is running, your iOS version and device model, your language and time zone, and the day and mountain of your climb. It is tied to your app user id. It does not include your email address, your device's name or your IP address.
- Crash reports. When the app crashes or hits an error, it sends a report to our error-tracking service, Sentry: what went wrong and where in the code, the app version, your device model and iOS version, and your app user id. It does not include what you type, your email address or your IP address, and it does not record your screen.
What we do not do
- No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
- No analytics or tracking SDKs in this version of the app.
- We do not sell or rent your data. We share it only with the service providers that run the app (Google Firebase, RevenueCat, Sentry and Discord, below), only to provide the service.
- Reminders are scheduled on your phone by the app itself. Nothing is sent to you from a server.
Where it lives
Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions and Firebase Authentication) in the Seoul region (asia-northeast3), under Google's privacy terms. Only you can read or change your own documents; the rules that enforce this are part of the app.
Subscription records are kept by RevenueCat, Inc. in the United States, under its privacy policy. Payments are processed by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.
Each feedback you send is also posted, with its screenshots, to a private channel of ours on Discord (Discord Inc., United States) so we read it quickly, under Discord's privacy policy.
Crash reports are kept by Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) in the United States for up to 90 days and then deleted, under its privacy policy.
How long, and how to delete it
We keep your data until you delete your account. In the app, open My › Account › Manage account › Delete account (or Account on the plans screen): everything we keep in Firebase is erased — including your feedback and its screenshots, and the Discord messages we posted for it — and your sign-in is removed, immediately and permanently. You can also write to wood.nomad.builder@gmail.com and we will do it for you.
The subscription record at RevenueCat is tied only to the random id of the deleted account and is not erased automatically; write to us and we will have it erased too. Apple keeps its own record of your purchases under your Apple ID. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription — cancel it in Settings › your name › Subscriptions.
Children
OneToRise is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new effective date. Material changes are also shown in the app.
